Job Title: Director of Donor Engagement

The Director of Donor Engagement will play a key role in identifying and cultivating new donors to support Theater J's mission and programs. This position will work closely with the Managing Director and Artistic Director to develop and implement a comprehensive donor engagement strategy.

Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement a donor engagement strategy to identify and cultivate new donors, as well as steward existing donors.
  2. Build and maintain relationships with donors, volunteers, and staff to ensure a strong network of support for Theater J.
  3. Collaborate with the Institutional Advancement team to create compelling fundraising materials and events.
  4. Supervise the Development Executive Assistant in their efforts to plan and execute fundraising events and activities.
  5. Research and identify new grant opportunities to support Theater J's programs and services.
Qualifications:
  1. Minimum of five years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, with a proven track record of success in individual giving.
  2. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with donors, volunteers, staff, and lay leaders.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate Theater J's mission and impact to diverse audiences.
  4. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  5. Proficiency in donor management software, email platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
