Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join AlphaSense's Finance team as a Global Payroll Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the global payroll implementation across multiple regions, ensuring compliance with various tax laws and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the global payroll implementation with AlphaSense operating in the US, Canada, Europe, and Asia
  • Develop and implement best-in-class scalable global payroll processes
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and international tax laws
  • Lead a team of payroll specialists in our global organization
  • Establish and maintain service level agreements (SLAs) for dealing with any payroll-related issues
  • Implement best-in-class reconciliation and review processes
  • Collaborate with the Accounting, People, FP&A, and Legal teams to resolve issues and provide payroll support and information as needed
About the Ideal Candidate

We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in both US domestic and international payroll. You should have experience with Workday Payroll and expertise in application of state and local payroll taxes, application of benefits, 401k, and all other aspects of payroll.

Key Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience with both US domestic and international payroll, preferably at a high-growth company
  • Experience with Workday Payroll required
  • Expertise in application of state and local payroll taxes, application of benefits, 401k, and all other aspects of payroll
  • You have an expert-level knowledge of payroll-related best practices, applicable wage and hour regulations, and a strong ability to accurately interpret and apply organizational procedures, rules, and regulations
  • You have successfully launched new payroll systems and processes in new countries from the ground up
  • You have expertise at creating and running customized Workday reports that are needed for all tax, compliance, and regulatory purposes
  • You have a working knowledge of payroll accounting/general ledger activities
What We Offer

As a Global Payroll Manager at AlphaSense, you can expect a competitive salary range of $140,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on your location and experience. You will also be offered a performance-based bonus, equity, and a generous benefits program.
