We are seeking a collaborative and visionary leader to join our team. As Senior/Executive Director, you will be responsible for advancing groundbreaking modalities for the treatment of CNS diseases. Your expertise in oligonucleotide biology and RNA therapeutic drug development will be instrumental in shaping our portfolio strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the identification and mechanistic profiling of lead oligonucleotide compounds to provide high-value programs.
  • Make strategic and quality decisions for programs in alignment with Simcere's management teams.
  • Craft an innovative product profile and guide decision-making by formulating outcome scenarios at critical data inflection points.
  • Assemble and maintain a motivated and high-performing program team, ensuring team members meet their expectations.
  • Provide relevant input into other portfolio project teams when needed.
  • Establish and cultivate cross-functional relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Provide oversight to collaborative programs and maintain strong relationships with investigators and key opinion leaders (KOLs) in the field.
Requirements:
  • PhD, MD, or MD/PhD in neuroscience or related fields, with 6+ years of experience in oligonucleotide biology.
  • Experience in leading a group to study RNA biology and function in academic or industrial settings.
  • Expertise in RNA therapeutic drug development process is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, along with prior experience in leading organizations and guiding individuals through transformative changes.
  • Demonstrated success in building teams, leading, and influencing experienced professionals and executives.
  • Ability to think critically, creatively, and to anticipate and solve problems.
