Position Summary

This is a FULL-TIME, onsite position.

National Capitol Contracting LLC is in search of an Event Space Cleaning Specialist to support a dedicated team at a leading scientific and medical research institution. Your daily responsibilities will encompass maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in event areas, which includes the setup and arrangement of furniture according to event specifications. This role involves cleaning facilities and restrooms, managing waste disposal, and assisting with the setup and dismantling of tables, chairs, and other event-related equipment, alongside other necessary tasks. The position demands exceptional cleaning abilities, adherence to quality standards, and collaborative teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sanitation of Event Spaces:
    • Thorough cleaning and sanitization of restrooms.
    • Vacuuming and carpet maintenance.
    • Buffing and cleaning of hard surface floors.
    • Sanitizing equipment in various spaces, including conference rooms, restrooms, kitchenettes, and storage areas.
  • Arranging and relocating furniture in centrally managed spaces and common areas.
  • Adjusting room dividers as needed and managing cabling connections between tables.
  • Handling the packing, loading, delivery, and unloading of furniture and equipment.
  • Transporting supplies and equipment between different buildings or campuses.
  • Assisting in the upkeep of furniture, equipment, and inventory management for lendable items.
  • Restoring rooms and communal areas to their standard configurations post-events.
  • Executing additional tasks as assigned or required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to successfully complete a criminal background check and credit verification.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License.
  • Capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with computer systems and software, including email applications.
  • Flexible availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Experience with carpet cleaning and floor maintenance equipment.

Special Position Requirements

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7am-4pm

Travel: Local travel between buildings and occasional offsite locations as required.

Physical Demands: Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and operate vehicles for transporting supplies.


This is a full-time position. NCC offers a competitive compensation package, with salary based on experience.
