At Westchestor Manor, we are seeking a skilled Charge Nurse to join our team. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for clients under your jurisdiction. You will provide care to residents at a personal level and have direct contact with residents on a daily basis.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide bedside care to residents, including personal hygiene maintenance.
  • Record residents' vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and respiratory rate.
  • Collect residents' health information and relay it to relevant parties.
  • Administer oral medications and injections to residents.
  • Test residents' blood sugar levels and perform urinary catheter insertion and care.
  • Provide wound care and dressing changes, as well as ostomy site care and maintenance.
  • Assist residents with personal hygiene and monitor for changes in their condition.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.

Requirements:

  • An Associate's degree from a community college, technical school, or vocational school.
  • North Carolina certification as a practical nurse.
  • Preferred education: Bachelor's degree in nursing.
