Nurse Care Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Charge Registered Nurse to oversee the total healthcare delivery system in their assigned nursing unit. This role involves collecting and evaluating health status data, making nursing diagnoses, setting goals, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing and excellent leadership skills. They will be responsible for supervising patient teaching, ensuring ancillary personnel only perform services for which they are qualified, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the total healthcare delivery system in their assigned unit, ensuring compliance with policy and procedure, and coordinating patient care with other departments.
- Monitor nursing service, maintain accurate records, and identify potential problems, proposing corrective actions as needed.
- Assist with staff orientation, training, and evaluations, and coordinate staffing levels to meet contractual requirements.
- Ensure the cleanliness, maintenance, and appearance of the unit and maintain appropriate levels of medical equipment and supplies.
- Maintain a professional atmosphere and attend monthly staff meetings as directed by the Director of Nursing or Administrator.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Prefer a minimum of one-year clinical experience.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse within the state of employment.
- Current CPR Certification.
