Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Electronics Repair Specialist is responsible for executing a variety of maintenance and preventive maintenance activities to ensure that manufacturing machinery remains functional. MtronPTI prioritizes support for in-line equipment to reduce operational interruptions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proficient in interpreting schematics and rectifying intricate electronic devices.
  • Conduct in-line diagnostics to fix diverse electronic production machinery.
  • Familiarity with RF instruments such as network analyzers and spectrum analyzers.
  • Diagnose down to the faulty component using schematics and an array of electronic tools, including oscilloscopes and digital multimeters.
  • Collaborate with external repair services when necessary.
  • Assemble and construct electronic testing fixtures.
  • Create test cables as needed.
  • Execute preventive maintenance tasks on electronic equipment.
  • Follow guidance from supervisors and team members.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to articulate in English clearly.
  • Capable of troubleshooting production machinery to identify root causes and implement repairs.
  • Proficient soldering skills for both through-hole and surface mount technologies.
  • Able to work autonomously.
  • Competent in reading English and executing defined tasks.
  • Organized and dependable.
  • Eligibility to obtain a security clearance.

Education, Experience, and Training:

  • Associate's degree in electronics, electrical technology, or equivalent military training.
  • Quick learner.
