Job Summary:

As a skilled Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas. Your expertise will be utilized to construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, diagnose, and maintain equipment, components, devices, or systems. You will work from schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions to operate related equipment, conduct tests, and report data in a prescribed format. Additionally, you will perform calibration and alignment checks, make adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed, and prepare prescribed compounds and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Construct and troubleshoot electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical equipment and systems.
  • Calibrate and adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment and systems using technical manuals and schematics.
  • Operate and maintain related equipment, including test equipment and tools.
  • Conduct tests and report data in a prescribed format.
  • Perform calibration and alignment checks, and make adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.
  • Prepare prescribed compounds and solutions as needed.

Requirements:

  • 10 years of experience in fabrication environments, including cable and harness.
  • At least 5 years of SMT board fabrication or maintenance of military design product experience.
  • At least 5 years of soldering experience.
  • Prior certification in solder and harness.

Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to fabricate electrical test equipment designs from a blueprint of the layout, ability to read schematic, bill of material, and engineering practices manual as guidelines, ability to communicate issues with the design and or the process requirements to management and or design engineers.
