The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of golf club-making and repair techniques, product features, and their benefits. You will be responsible for performing all club performance modifications according to customer needs, providing a superior golf club repair experience, and managing inventory through accurately recording shop consumption, usage, and waste.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform all club performance modifications according to customer needs
- Provide a superior golf club repair experience by providing product and service recommendations and constructing or modifying golf clubs as needed
- Manage inventory through accurately recording shop consumption, usage, and waste
- Operate shop equipment safely by complying with workplace safety programs
- Measure lie & loft angles, club height, weight & shaft flex, and make adjustments based on customer needs
- Repair broken clubheads and changing golf club shafts and grips
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of golf club-making and repair techniques, product features and their benefits
- Operate general phone systems and basic computer applications
- Demonstrate knowledge of processing information and merchandise via computer and POS register system; operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store
- Demonstrate working knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheet, inventory, Internet and order processing systems
Requirements:
- Prior golf club repair experience is a plus, but not required (entry-level candidates are welcome to apply)
- Knowledge of golf equipment and shafts is preferred, but not required
- Experience working in a shop environment and familiarity with basic power tools is preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of retail operations is a plus, but not required
