Electronics Technician Job Description

Bowhead is seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to join our WXP Advanced Radar team in Crane, IN. The successful candidate will support the development of advanced radar test capabilities through hardware integration and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret and integrate hardware based on drawings, system wiring diagrams, and interface circuit boards.
  • Produce cables for hardware integration into test sets.
  • Collaborate with engineers to revise drawings and verify system interfaces.
  • Solder printed circuit boards to revise them.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; experience is crucial and additional experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering Technology highly desired.
  • At least 5-8 years of experience in an Electronics Technician and/or Maintenance role required.
  • Integrate hardware based on drawings.
  • Mechanical and Electrical design experience - Analog, Digital, and Power circuit operation and troubleshooting knowledge.
  • Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), High voltage training, Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) and associated training required.
  • Meet National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) and/or Society for Protective Coatings (formerly Steel Structures Painting Council (SSPC) certification requirements.
  • Must possess solder certification to IPC requirements such as IPC J-STD-001, IPC 7711/7721 or Miniature/Micro-miniature (2M) certification standards.
  • Basic to intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time.
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically.

Security Clearance Requirements: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level. Applicants who currently hold a Secret Clearance are strongly encouraged to apply. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
