Amentum, a reliable partner to government agencies and corporations globally, is in search of a dedicated Electronics Technician to contribute to our Strategic Microelectronics program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate actively in the disassembly of electronic components.
  • Utilize hands-on expertise to devise technological solutions that enhance processes and methodologies.
  • Assist in development by creating fixtures, software, and employing unconventional techniques.
  • Make informed technical decisions based on proficiency in using testing equipment and related systems.
  • Communicate and collaborate with engineering teams, contractors, or government representatives regarding technical challenges.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Completion of vocational or technical training beyond high school and 1-3 years of relevant experience or equivalent qualifications.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Hands-on experience in handling and machining small components, particularly microelectronics.
  • Familiarity with electronic components and their operational characteristics.
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols, including chemical safety measures.
  • Applied understanding of geometry and algebra for practical applications.
  • Excellent written communication and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Able to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team of technicians, scientists, and engineers.
  • Capable of identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities through fixture design and innovative techniques.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance; US Citizenship is required for clearance eligibility.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possession of an active Secret Clearance.
  • Experience in laboratory settings, including the operation of microscopes and analytical equipment.
  • Basic understanding of microelectronic construction and materials.
  • Familiarity with techniques for failure analysis or material evaluation of microelectronics.
  • Working knowledge of CAD software.
  • Experience with microcontroller programming.
