Job Title: Instrumentation Technician

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Instrumentation Technician to join our team at Jacobs. As an Instrumentation Technician, you will be responsible for assisting with the design, testing, and production of wire harness assemblies, as well as performing various electronic, electrical, and mechanical assembly operations and tests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with design, testing, and production of wire harness assemblies.
  • Perform various electronic, electrical, and mechanical assembly operations and tests.
  • Interact daily with government customers, supervisors, and mentor fellow employees.
  • Fabricate electronic subassemblies for prototype models from schematics and sketches IAW Military standards.
  • Perform calibration checks on electronic instruments and conduct engineering test IAW test procedures utilizing various test equipment.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma and 3-10 years' of related experience are required.
  • U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DOD Secret Security Clearance required.
  • Demonstrated experience in DOD-related test programs are a plus.

Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a hands-on and collaborative environment, with the ability to work well with co-workers and all levels of management. The position requires initiative, teamwork, and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

Physical Requirements:

The position may include lifting of weight up to forty (40) pounds as necessary.

Equipment and Machines:

The successful candidate will be able to operate office equipment such as a personal computer, printer, copy machine, telephone, fax machine and other equipment including desk supplies and other work-related tools as required. Operate electrical test equipment, Volt Ohm meter and Megohmmeter.

Attendance:

Normal hours are Monday – Thursday between 6:00am to 4:00pm during flex weeks, Monday – Friday 6:00am to 3:00pm on non-flex weeks. Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines.

Other Essential Functions:

The successful candidate must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management, and co-workers. Must have clear, concise and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and written. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to employees or others.
