Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Community Engagement: Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, caseworkers, children, and families to ensure effective case management and support.
  • Diverse Cases and Interactions: Work with a diverse range of cases, interacting with individuals from various backgrounds and cultures, and adapt to changing priorities and circumstances.
  • Commitment to Antiracism and Inclusion: Contribute to creating a more equitable environment by promoting antiracism, diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of your work.
  • Assessments and Case Planning: Collaborate with caseworkers to develop and implement assessments and case plans that address the unique needs of each family.
  • Child Advocacy: Support parents in identifying and articulating their children's needs, and assist caseworkers in gathering information, making referrals, and communicating with community partners.
Requirements
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (passing test(s) evaluating proficiency in bilingual requirements is required).
  • One year of experience assisting professionals in specialized social programs, or possession of a current certification in child development, early childhood education, addiction counseling preparation, or juvenile corrections, or 45 quarter hours/30 semester hours of college coursework in relevant fields, or an associate degree in a field not closely related to social work/human services and six months of human services-related experience.
  • Essential attributes include experience working effectively with others, writing in a clear and culturally competent manner, taking proactive steps to identify and pursue goals, communicating verbally with assurance and conviction, and adapting to dynamic environments.
