JOB OVERVIEW

Clean Harbors is currently seeking a proficient Manual Class A CDL Driver to operate at various client sites, playing a crucial role in our safety-oriented workforce. As an essential member of our team, you will be tasked with setting up and transporting equipment for industrial operations, assisting with hydroblasting apparatus, and performing other critical functions. Experience in environmental services, Roll Off trailers, and dry vans is a plus.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Duties:
  • Act as a safety representative, ensuring adherence to safety policies and procedures for both the company and clients, including hands-on guidance regarding operations, safety protocols, equipment handling, emergency response, and administrative tasks.
  • Operate vacuum and hydroblasting equipment effectively.
  • Utilize specialized machinery, such as Ultra High-Pressure pumps.
  • Manage equipment operations by activating pumping systems and/or specialized hydroblasting and chemical cleaning tools, vacuum trucks, and cutting equipment as required.
  • Inspect cleaned surfaces to verify compliance with company and client specifications.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on equipment utilized during operations.
  • Handle all duties related to liquid vacuums, air machines, and jet rodders.
  • May oversee a team of vacuum technicians.
  • Transport equipment and personnel to and from client locations as necessary.
  • Complete pre and post-trip inspections, maintain driver's logs, and adhere to all vehicle policies and DOT regulations.
  • Load and unload hoses and equipment.
  • Discharge vacuum truck contents at designated sites.
  • Provide general maintenance in the field as needed.
  • Perform additional related tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Specific vocational training, including classroom safety instruction, on-the-job training, and relevant experience.
  • Language proficiency: must understand English sufficiently to comprehend safety training and respond to emergency instructions.
  • Valid driver's license, CDL Class A or B, and compliance with the company's driving policy required when operating company vehicles or personal vehicles for business purposes.
  • Smartphone required for Electronic Logging Device.
  • Federal Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) may be necessary.
  • Knowledgeable in the operation of emergency equipment, such as fire extinguishers.
  • Experience operating a vacuum truck is preferred.
  • Familiarity with equipment used in wet and dry vacuum operations.
WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO WORK FOR CLEAN HARBORS?

  • Class B CDL License required.
  • HAZMAT and Tanker Endorsements are preferred.
