KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Duties:
  • Serve as a safety representative, ensuring adherence to safety policies and procedures for both the company and clients, including hands-on operational guidance.
  • Operate vacuum and hydroblasting equipment effectively.
  • Utilize specialized equipment, such as Ultra High-Pressure pumps.
  • Engage equipment by activating pumping and/or specialized hydroblasting and/or chemical cleaning systems, vacuum trucks, and cutting tools as required.
  • Inspect cleaned surfaces to confirm compliance with company and client specifications.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on equipment utilized during operations.
  • Manage tasks associated with liquid vacuums, air machines, and jet rodders.
  • May oversee a team of vacuum technicians.
  • Transport equipment and personnel to various locations as needed.
  • Complete pre and post-trip inspections, maintain driver's logs, and adhere to all vehicle policies and DOT regulations.
  • Handle loading and unloading of hoses.
  • Discharge vacuum truck contents at designated sites.
  • Provide general maintenance support in the field.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Specific vocational training, including classroom safety instruction, on-the-job training, and relevant experience.
  • Language proficiency: ability to understand English sufficiently to comprehend safety training and respond to emergency instructions.
  • Valid driver's license, CDL Class A or B, and compliance with company driving policies required when operating company vehicles or personal vehicles for company business.
  • Smartphone necessary for Electronic Logging Device usage.
  • Federal Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) may be necessary.
  • Knowledge of emergency equipment operation, such as fire extinguishers.
  • Experience with vacuum truck operations.
  • Familiarity with equipment used in wet and dry vacuum processes.
WHAT IT TAKES TO WORK AT CLEAN HARBORS:
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
  • Class B CDL License required.
  • HAZMAT and Tanker Endorsements preferred.
