KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Duties:
  • Serve as a safety representative, ensuring adherence to safety policies and procedures for both the company and clients, including hands-on guidance regarding operations, safety, equipment, emergency response, and administrative tasks.
  • Operate vacuum and hydroblasting equipment effectively.
  • Utilize specialized equipment, such as Ultra High-Pressure pumps.
  • Engage equipment by activating pumping systems and/or specialized hydroblasting and/or chemical cleaning apparatus, vacuum trucks, and cutting tools as required.
  • Inspect cleaned surfaces to verify compliance with company and client specifications.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on equipment utilized during operations.
  • Perform all duties associated with liquid vacuums, air machines, and jet rodders.
  • May oversee a team of vacuum technicians.
  • Transport equipment and personnel as necessary.
  • Complete pre and post-trip inspections, maintain driver's logs, and adhere to all vehicle policies and DOT regulations.
  • Manage loading and unloading of hoses.
  • Unload vacuum trucks at designated disposal sites.
  • Provide general maintenance support in the field.
  • Carry out other related tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Specific vocational training, including classroom safety instruction, on-the-job training, and relevant experience.
  • Language proficiency: must understand English sufficiently to comprehend safety training and respond to emergency instructions.
  • Valid driver's license, CDL Class A or B, and compliance with the company's driving policy when operating company or personal vehicles for business purposes.
  • Smartphone required for Electronic Logging Device.
  • Federal Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) may be necessary.
  • Knowledgeable in the operation of emergency equipment, such as fire extinguishers.
  • Experience operating a vacuum truck is preferred.
  • Familiarity with equipment used in wet and dry vacuum operations.
WHAT IT TAKES TO WORK FOR CLEAN HARBORS:
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
  • Class B CDL License required.
  • HAZMAT and Tanker Endorsements are preferred.
