Role Summary: The Student Success Advisor at Iona University plays a pivotal role in guiding undergraduate students through their academic journey, assisting with course registration, major/minor choices, and ensuring timely graduation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver academic guidance to undergraduate and transfer students.
  • Build and nurture relationships with assigned students.
  • Address student inquiries and resolve concerns regarding course prerequisites.
  • Maintain accurate student records and develop communication materials.
  • Support the management of the front desk and assist in student records evaluations.
  • Act as a liaison between students and academic support services.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.

Experience: At least two years of experience in academic advising.

Skills: Strong organizational, written, and interpersonal skills; proficiency in relevant computer systems.
