Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Medical Assistant to support our healthcare providers in delivering exceptional patient care. This role includes a $1,500 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patient charts for daily appointments, ensuring all necessary documentation is accessible.
  • Conduct rooming procedures for patient visits, including collecting vital signs and health history.
  • Accurately obtain and record age-specific measurements such as height, weight, and vital signs.
  • Perform hearing, vision, respiratory, and ECG tests, documenting results as required.
  • Administer and document screenings based on patient needs, including mental health assessments.
  • Collect and process specimens using appropriate techniques and equipment.
  • Conduct point-of-care testing with precision and accuracy.
  • Perform venipuncture when necessary and manage specimen processing in accordance with established protocols.
  • Administer medications and immunizations through various routes as appropriate.
  • Manage medication prescription refills and handle prior authorization processes as needed.
  • Oversee clinical supplies and medication samples, ensuring proper storage and labeling.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is essential.
  • Experience: Preferred one to three years of experience in a medical assistant role.
  • Certification: Medical Assistant Certification/ABR-OE is strongly recommended.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with computer systems and EMR is preferred.
