Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinic Nurse to join our team at Regional Medical Center Anniston. As a Clinic Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Providers with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures
  • Obtain patient medical histories, perform routine laboratory procedures, and collect and prepare specimens for transportation to the lab
  • Work with patients, families, providers, nursing staff, patient care representatives, and ancillary staff to promote timely access to care, continuity of care, and to coach patients, families, and caregivers in understanding the patient's care plan and self-care management responsibilities
  • Apply effective communication skills, prepare patients for examination, and assess patient's vital signs
  • Assist Providers in performing patient examinations and procedures, give medications and injections under provider supervision, and explain nature of examination, diagnostic tests, and/or treatment to patients
  • Collect specimens, instruct patients regarding proper preparation for tests, prepare and replenish supplies, clean instruments, and maintain diagnostic equipment
  • Receive and organize medication samples, assist with ordering medical supplies, and maintain inventory
  • Perform lab tests as ordered by Providers, contact patients with information regarding laboratory results, diagnostic results, changes in medication, scheduling of laboratory tests or procedures, and referrals to specialists
  • Advise patients on health concerns and distribute patient education
  • Maintain obstetrical records, assist in ordering professional supplies, and maintain HIPAA compliance
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited program for medical assisting, practical nursing, or registered nursing
  • Current certification or licensure to practice in Iowa
  • BLS certification (able to complete post-hire)
  • Child and Dependent Adult Mandatory Reporter training required (able to complete post-hire)
