Overview:


Tactical Engineering & Analysis, Inc. is in search of a Systems Integration Engineer to provide dedicated support to our client organization. This role involves delivering engineering expertise to assist in the definition of emerging platform requirements and integration support. Responsibilities include reviewing platform documentation, specifications, and drawings, as well as participating in Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs), teleconferences, and Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process events.


Responsibilities:

Key Duties:
Offer versatile support to the systems engineering team.

Tasks may encompass direct program systems engineering assistance, collaboration with various functional levels of program and engineering personnel on design, integration, and testing issues, and providing support to other teams and disciplines as required.

Deliver engineering insights in the research, analysis, and evaluation of vendor documentation.

Advise program managers or government clients regarding planning, testing, and assessing the effectiveness of operations, programs, or systems.

Examine functional performance and qualification test plans and/or procedures. Validate intricate system designs to ensure alignment with functional specifications and requirements.

Plan and execute systems engineering activities, engineering analyses, trade studies, and feasibility assessments to support systems engineering tasks, including technical support for Analyses of Alternatives (AoA).


Assist in defining, designing, and developing new system requirements, allocating system and subsystem requirements, and integrating the total system.

Review functional performance and qualification test plans and/or procedures. Validate intricate system designs to ensure alignment with functional specifications and requirements.

Plan and execute systems engineering activities, engineering analyses, trade studies, and feasibility assessments to support systems engineering tasks, including technical support for Analyses of Alternatives (AoA).

Implement quality control measures to ensure ongoing program success. Conduct quantitative feasibility analyses on potential solutions to enhance system effectiveness and integrate new capabilities.

Conduct technical investigations in systems design and provide technical guidance or support for the development or troubleshooting of communication systems.


Support the management, reduction, and analysis of data, design tests, and perform laboratory analyses, including scientific analyses and interpretation of research results for C4ISR systems.

Aid in architecting,

reviewing, analyzing, testing, and modifying systems of systems designs and implementations for C4ISR systems.

Experience:


Minimum of six (6+) years of experience:

Exhibit extensive technical expertise and application of engineering principles, concepts, theory, and practice with the capability to organize, plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate workloads to meet established deadlines or milestones, with some experience in project leadership.

Possess the ability to quickly grasp new concepts and apply them accurately in a dynamic environment.


Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are essential for effective interaction with other departments and professionals, enabling representation of the organization as a primary technical contact while providing leadership and guidance to less experienced professionals.

Customer-focused, formulates plans based on the development of innovative designs to resolve advanced technical engineering challenges.

Previous experience as an Integrated Product Team Lead is advantageous.


Experience in managing, reducing, and analyzing data, designing tests, and conducting laboratory analyses, including scientific analyses and interpretation of research results for C4ISR systems.

Experience with system of systems design and development for C4ISR systems.

Experience in architecting, reviewing, analyzing, testing, and modifying systems of systems designs and implementations for C4ISR systems.

Familiarity with open architecture constructs such as Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA), Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (C5ISR)/Electronic Warfare, Modular Open Suite of Standards (CMOSS), Open Mission Systems (OMS), and Open Communication Standard (OCS); utilizing the Universal Command and Control Interface (UCI).Experience with Low Probability of Detection (LPD) and Low Probability of Intercept (LPI) waveforms and anti-jam communication capabilities.

Demonstrated complex problem-solving skills - Identifying intricate problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.

Provide technical solutions to a broad range of complex and challenging problems. Solutions should be innovative, imaginative, thorough, practical, and consistent with organizational objectives.

Work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgment, overall adequacy, and accuracy.

Operates under general supervision.

Adheres to established procedures.

Impact:
Contributes to the achievement of milestones associated with specific projects.

Failure to achieve results or inadequate work products should be detected by supervisory oversight but may cause delays in program schedules and necessitate the allocation of additional resources.


Liaison:
Primarily internal company contacts, with infrequent inter-organizational and external customer contacts on routine matters.

Minimum Education Requirements:
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Pay Range:
$90,000.00 to $(phone number removed) annually, DOE

U.S. Citizenship is required.

Security Clearance:
Candidates must possess an active clearance OR the ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance and will be subject to a U.S. security background investigation (i.e., favorable background investigation/credit score). Additional eligibility requirements for access to various levels of classified information may also be required. An active security clearance is highly desirable.
