Role Responsibilities

As an Integration and Testing Systems Engineer, your primary duties will include:

  • Implementing new versions of the SONIC Strike NCL Baseline and conducting tests for both new and existing functionalities.
  • Diagnosing and resolving software and system-level issues.
  • Collaborating with integration team members to support Test Partition events, including IT and IV&V, while also providing factory assistance to O&S engineers to minimize production downtime.
  • Executing baseline modifications and addressing change requests.
  • Performing technical assessments, analyses, and troubleshooting for all supported functionalities.
  • Utilizing scripting languages such as Python and Perl to develop and enhance automated testing scripts.

Work Environment

This position requires full-time onsite collaboration due to the nature of the role, ensuring effective teamwork and communication.

Required Qualifications

  • Top Secret/SCI Polygraph security clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Active Security certification.
  • Experience with Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Familiarity with server technologies and their optimization.
  • Knowledge of various operating systems, email, database platforms, and hardware support.
  • Understanding of Communications and Information Security policies.
  • Problem-solving skills to identify and implement effective solutions.
  • Experience with update services like Yum (RHEL flavor) and scripting using bash and Ansible.
  • Proven experience in remote systems management via command line.
  • Hands-on experience configuring Linux firewalls and networking.
  • Experience integrating Linux servers with Active Directory or LDAP/Kerberos.
  • Installation and configuration experience with services such as httpd/Apache and ftpd.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Willingness to learn Windows Systems Administration in an Agile Team environment.
  • Ability to provide innovative solutions for routine challenges.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Understanding of satellite and LAN/WAN network operations.
  • Experience in automating NCL Library installation processes.
  • Proficiency in advanced scripting languages like Perl and Python.
  • Willingness to learn and apply Scrum framework, Lean principles, Agile engineering, and DevOps practices.

Compensation

Full-Time Salary Range: $215,270. This range is based on market pay structures, with individual salaries determined by various factors including business considerations, local market conditions, and candidate qualifications.
