Ship Integration and Combat Systems Installation Engineer

Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is on the lookout for a dedicated Ship Integration and Combat Systems Installation Engineer to enhance their innovative and integrity-focused team. In this role, your expertise will be highly valued, contributing to the mission of Lockheed Martin.

This position entails managing the installation of ACB12/16 Combat System enhancements during Aegis Modernization and PSA availabilities on US AEGIS DDG and CG Class vessels at repair facilities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing detailed design schematics
  • Conducting installation assessments
  • Troubleshooting technical challenges
  • Coordinating with various engineering teams
  • Providing technical solutions aligned with specifications

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years' experience in design, integration, or installation engineering, with a solid understanding of CG 47, DDG 51, and/or FMS Aegis or other USN surface ship combat system technologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities are essential, complemented by excellent verbal and written communication skills.

This role may require up to 50% travel annually and could involve non-standard hours, including weekends and holidays. US Citizenship and a final DoD Secret Security Clearance are prerequisites for this position.

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering, familiarity with shipbuilding standards, experience in AIT installation and testing of BMD 3.6 and 4.0 upgrades, and knowledge of ship support systems.
