Position Overview:
The Peaks Care Center is seeking a dedicated Rehabilitation Unit Coordinator.

Incentives:
  • SIGN ON BONUS: $10,000.00 for Full-Time positions

  • Shift Differentials: Ranging from $2.00 to $4.00

About the Role:
The Rehabilitation Unit Coordinator plays a crucial role in assisting the Director of Nursing (DON) with the planning, development, implementation, evaluation, and management of daily operations within the nursing department, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee nursing care functions, including informing staff of new admissions and ensuring appropriate room assignments.
  • Ensure that licensed nurses and certified nursing assistants provide direct care to residents.
  • Conduct daily rounds to assess resident needs and coordinate with physicians as necessary.
  • Monitor medication administration and treatment schedules to ensure compliance with prescribed orders.
  • Participate in on-call responsibilities alongside other nursing leadership roles.
  • Collaborate with residents, families, and physicians to plan comprehensive care and rehabilitation strategies.

Administrative Duties:
  • Assist in coordinating nursing services with other resident services to maintain continuity of care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the facility's quality assurance program for nursing services.

Infection Control Management:
  • Lead the development and maintenance of an infection control program to monitor and manage communicable diseases.
  • Ensure compliance with CDC, OSHA, and local regulations regarding infection control practices.

Personnel Management:
  • Assist the DON in assessing staffing needs and selecting nursing personnel.
  • Conduct daily evaluations of nursing staff performance and report findings to the Director.
  • Support the DON in preparing performance evaluations as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Must possess a valid RN Nursing Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Must hold a current RN nursing license.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting is required.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Compensation:
The wage range for this position is $40.00 to $52.78, depending on experience.
