At UnitedHealth Group, we're committed to helping people live healthier lives and making the health system work better for everyone. As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you'll play a critical role in ensuring that patients receive timely and accurate billing for their medical services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and manage patient accounts, including insurance claims and self-payments
  • Communicate with patients, insurance carriers, and other stakeholders to resolve billing issues and ensure timely payment
  • Reconcile and post insurance payment batches, ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in patient accounts, working closely with management to achieve client profitability
  • Work collaboratively with the team to meet productivity standards and achieve departmental goals
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 1+ years of medical or professional office work experience preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in accounts receivable or medical billing
  • Knowledge of Epic or other electronic health record systems
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with flexibility to work from home and in the office
