Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team in Chelsea, Massachusetts.
This is a full-time position that requires a strong background in laboratory testing and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, including automated and manual testing in chemistry and blood gas departments.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including centrifuges and automated blood analyzers.
- Measure specimens and reagents quantitatively using pipettes and make necessary dilutions in accordance with standard procedures.
- Prepare solutions and reagents used in conducting patient tests.
- Record all results of tests per procedure and operate computer terminals to enter and retrieve pertinent laboratory information and reports.
- Communicate effectively with laboratory and hospital staff, patients, and outside locations.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures, including infection control and hazardous material handling.
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Lab Science and certification eligible.
- Twelve hours of documented continuing education in the previous year according to lab-specific policy.
