Clinical Laboratory Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Chemistry to join our team at NYU Langone Hospital-Long Island. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing routine and complex laboratory procedures, including specimen processing, testing, and result reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Perform laboratory tests and procedures in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
- Ensure the quality of testing by performing quality control procedures, instrument maintenance, and calibration.
- Review patient results for accuracy and validity, and communicate critical values to medical staff as needed.
- Participate in the training of new medical technologists and residents, and maintain proficiency in laboratory procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by senior technologists or lead technologists.
- NYS DOH licensure as a Certified Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
- Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology or a related field from an accredited institution.
- One year of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, or completion of an internship at a qualified institution.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- ASCP certification.
- Excellent computer knowledge and skills.
