Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Director to lead our K-5 Childcare program. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring outstanding learning experiences for children, a professional and effective staff, and positive ongoing relations with the school community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive program that aligns with LASER's vision and values
    • Ensure the program is responsive to the needs of children, families, and the school community
  • Staff Supervision
    • Directly supervise and mentor Site Supervisors, Assistant Teachers, and Lead Teachers
    • Oversee the overall supervision of staff, including performance evaluations and professional development
  • Community Relations
    • Develop and maintain positive relationships with the school community, including families and school administrators
    • Oversee outreach, enrollment, and onboarding of families
  • Organizational Integrity
    • Ensure the program's alignment with LASER's vision, mission, and values
    • Collaborate with the Leadership Team to ensure consistency and alignment across the organization
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Experience
    • Minimum two years of experience teaching children and a year's experience in administration
  • Skills
    • Demonstrated experience and passion for child development, child care advocacy, and educational paradigms
    • Reflective thinker who approaches challenging situations with a lens of inquiry, empathy, and curiosity
    • Well-developed interpersonal and group skills, collaborative nature, outstanding communication skills
