ROLE SUMMARY:
The Lead Project Coordinator will strategize and oversee initiatives aimed at ensuring family stability and prosperity within the designated area, cultivating robust relationships with clients and essential community stakeholders.
This role is supported by funding from Choice Neighborhood Initiatives grant resources.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Identify and engage high-impact collaborators to achieve program objectives.
2. Lead and support subcontractors and partners across various sectors in program execution.
3. Build and sustain relationships with key organizations and service providers.
4. Manage special projects as required.
5. Collaborate with the housing management team to meet site-specific housing stability objectives.
6. Foster partnerships to enhance neighborhood economic development.
7. Develop and implement a neighborhood revitalization strategy to support residents and improve economic mobility.
8. Create and execute an Annual Plan aligned with program objectives and vision, informed by needs assessments and evidence-based practices.
9. Monitor and report outcomes, evaluating programs to meet established goals.
10. Track data in the LEARN Performance Management System to document progress.
11. Facilitate community engagement, leadership development, and capacity-building initiatives.
12. Support sustainability planning, fundraising, and resource development, identifying partnerships and funding opportunities, and assisting with grant or project proposals.
13. Manage project contracts and budgets, ensuring accountability for expenditures to the Director of Finance.
14. Develop and present or publish internal and external reports to stakeholders and partners.
15. Actively participate in Urban Strategies program meetings and other relevant project meetings.
16. Be available to occasionally work evenings and/or weekends, and travel as necessary.
Provide resources and expertise for clients to access capital, including loans for their financial objectives that encompass housing access, consumer products to build credit and reduce debt, and/or entrepreneurship.
Offer consultation services in financial management and goal setting.Assist in exploring resources to enhance wealth through entrepreneurship and host in-person and virtual seminars for clients seeking financial literacy, management, and capital access resources.
Promote and support the growth of the Urban Strategies, Inc. CDFI client base. Other administrative responsibilities as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's Degree preferred; Bachelor's Degree required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit or human services with increasing responsibility in project management, partnership oversight, contract management, and team leadership.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills, effective with diverse stakeholders (writing samples demonstrating persuasive writing skills may be requested during the interview process).
Comfortable and effective in facilitating group dynamics. Ability to establish vision, lead, and empower team members, residents, and service partners. Strong organizational, planning, and time management capabilities. Proficient in data analysis and resident-driven, data-informed program design. Strong commitment to confidentiality for participants and employees. Thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple service locations and diverse stakeholders. Culturally sensitive and adept at working in varied settings. Passionate about community development and capable of inspiring others. Ability to work independently with initiative and excel in a collaborative environment. Skilled in developing and managing program/project budgets.
