Daily Responsibilities of a Senior Strategic Account Manager:
As a full-time Senior Strategic Account Manager, you will strengthen and broaden relationships with our clients, ensuring growth and profitability within our Employee Benefits sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage strategic planning and provide consulting services to clients, including overseeing the preparation of Requests for Proposal (RFP), coordinating vendor responses, analyzing and comparing RFP submissions, and creating comprehensive client reports with actionable recommendations.
- Engage with all relevant stakeholders associated with clients.
- Facilitate effective communication and implement action plans related to client compliance.
- Oversee the onboarding of new clients and the implementation of annual renewals.
- Ensure timely delivery of the "Annual Service Calendar" commitments.
- Maintain consistent and effective communication with clients.
Additional Responsibilities: Consulting
- Supervise daily projects of selected account managers and staff within the employee benefits practice to ensure exceptional client satisfaction, as evidenced by consistently positive feedback.
- Assess the educational needs of account management personnel and coordinate training sessions to enhance proficiency.
- Participate in regular meetings with leadership to discuss account management and operational matters.
- Conduct meetings with staff to address current issues relevant to the company or industry.
- Stay informed about industry developments through ongoing education and certification programs.
- Adapt and refine internal service systems and processes in response to market changes or organizational needs.
- Embrace and promote a culture of care within the organization, ensuring that this philosophy is reflected in all interactions with clients, vendors, and colleagues.
- Support efforts to generate new business opportunities with existing clients.
- Assist in the development and market introduction of new products or services.
- Engage in seminars targeting our key markets.
- Design, coordinate, and assess benefit plans for clients with diverse funding structures.
- Establish professional relationships with service providers and insurance companies.
- Negotiate vendor contracts to align with organizational performance standards.
- Implement metrics to evaluate program effectiveness.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills:
- Comprehensive knowledge of employee benefit programs and consulting, including legal, tax, and administrative considerations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Experience in delegating tasks and following up on assignments.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with various carriers and vendors.
- Willingness to travel to client locations as needed.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
