Rutgers University is seeking an Educational Support Coordinator to join the UBHC-Access Center team. The primary responsibility of the Educational Support Coordinator is to deliver confidential telephonic assistance and guidance in accordance with the AID NJEA/RING NEA mission. This role requires managing telephonic inquiries, showcasing counseling expertise, and possessing a solid understanding of educational matters while accurately documenting information.
- Engages proactively in managing telephone inquiries in a professional and approachable manner.
- Evaluates and addresses service calls in alignment with AID NJEA/RING NEA protocols.
- Acquaints oneself with educational organizations and resources to enhance telephonic interactions and provide accurate information to callers.
- Contributes to the objectives of University Behavioral Health Care.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in education, counseling, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in teaching or educational settings.
- Completion of the internal training program at UBHC.
- Prior experience or training in counseling is preferred.
Physical Requirements: This position necessitates extended periods of sitting, the ability to operate a computer for lengthy durations, and requires effective hearing and clear verbal communication.
Work Environment: The role is performed under time constraints and decision-making pressures, typically in a conducive atmosphere.
