Reports to: Site Director

Compensation: The hourly wage for this role ranges from $44 to $50, based on experience and qualifications.

Ya YA Foods is in search of a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee our food manufacturing operations. The Maintenance Supervisor will lead the maintenance team in the upkeep and repair of food processing machinery, ensuring adherence to food safety standards while minimizing downtime to meet production objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a robust technical background in food processing equipment and demonstrate effective leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians within a food production setting.
  • Organize and prioritize maintenance activities to minimize production interruptions.
  • Assess facility systems to identify necessary maintenance repairs.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance/Site Director to establish work priorities, procure required materials, and evaluate skill sets needed for tasks.
  • Work with team members to discuss upcoming assignments and delegate tasks based on individual skills and experience.
  • Ensure maintenance and repair tasks are executed safely, efficiently, and promptly.
  • Assist team members with technical challenges or complex issues related to their assignments.
  • Review and inspect work completed by team members.
  • Coordinate with the Site Director to address topics for safety meetings.
  • Promote a safe working environment by adhering to all safety regulations and encouraging team compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and food safety regulations, as well as company policies.
  • Adhere to the Company's Integrated Management Systems, which encompass Production, Quality, Food Safety, and GMP.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance or related fields, preferably with Tetra Pack.
  • In-depth knowledge of food plant equipment maintenance, including mobile equipment, industrial blenders, filling machinery, and conveyor systems.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or in a similar capacity within the food industry.
  • Proven ability to effectively lead a team.
  • Proficient in computer applications (Microsoft Suite) and instructional software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication across all management levels.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality service.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines for multiple tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College degree in Maintenance or a related field.
  • Certification in food safety.
