Reporting Structure: Reports to the Site Director

Compensation: The salary range for this role is $44-$50 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Ya Ya Foods is looking for a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee our maintenance team at our food manufacturing facility. The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for managing the maintenance and repair of food processing machinery, ensuring adherence to food safety standards, and minimizing production downtime. The ideal candidate will possess a robust technical background in food processing equipment and demonstrate effective leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians in a food production setting.
  • Plan and prioritize maintenance activities to minimize disruptions to production.
  • Assess facility systems to identify necessary maintenance repairs.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance/Site Director to establish work priorities and procure necessary materials.
  • Engage with team members to discuss upcoming tasks and delegate assignments based on individual skills.
  • Ensure maintenance and repair tasks are executed safely, efficiently, and promptly.
  • Assist team members with complex technical issues or challenges.
  • Review and inspect work completed by team members.
  • Coordinate safety meeting topics with the Site Director.
  • Promote a safe working environment by adhering to all safety regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and food safety regulations.
  • Adhere to the Company's Integrated Management Systems, including Production, Quality, Food Safety, and GMP.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance or related fields, particularly with Tetra Pack.
  • Strong understanding of food plant equipment maintenance, including mobile equipment, industrial blenders, filling machines, and conveyor systems.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or in a similar capacity within the food industry.
  • Proven ability to effectively lead a team.
  • Proficient in computer applications (Microsoft Suite) and instructional software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all management levels.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality service.
  • Organizational skills, analytical abilities, and time management skills to meet multiple deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Maintenance or a related field.
  • Certification in food safety.
