Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain water/wastewater treatment equipment, including pumps, engines, generators, valves, gates, mixers, conveyors, blowers, chemical feed, and odor control units.
  • Monitor and adjust control panels to regulate flow and ensure conformance to process specifications.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance, including lubrication and minor adjustments.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot operational problems and take corrective action.
  • Verify and report suspected malfunctions and variances to supervisor.
Requirements:
  • High School education or GED with the ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
  • Associate's degree in a science or technical area strongly preferred.
  • Over five years of experience in a related position and environment with knowledge of water/wastewater treatment methods, techniques, and practices.
Working Environment:

This role requires 100% of time spent in an operations environment, with possible exposure to operations hazards including fumes, toxic and caustic chemicals, heavy machinery, high pressure, hot or cold work environment temperatures, slippery surfaces, water hazards, and electrical equipment.
