We are seeking a highly skilled System Operations Technical Trainer/Senior System Operations Technical Trainer to join our team at Duke Energy. As a key member of our training organization, you will be responsible for providing knowledge and competency-based training to operating personnel expected to perform system operations control center functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver training programs for system operators using the ADDIE Systematic Approach to Training and in accordance with NERC PER Training Standards and Duke Energy's System Operator Qualification Program requirements.
- Collaborate with the Director and trainers within the SysOps training organization to remain abreast of current and emerging training practices, trends, and methods.
- Communicate effectively with operators, leadership, and other stakeholders to ensure a positive and professional learning experience.
- Develop and maintain training materials, including simulation scenarios and web-based content.
- Provide ongoing support and evaluation of training programs to ensure they meet the needs of system operators.
Requirements:
- Technical degree or equivalent experience.
- NERC Certified Operator.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
