Maintenance Planner/Scheduler Sr

The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler Sr will be responsible for ensuring efficient planning and coordination of maintenance work at the Augusta mill, a well-invested SBS paperboard manufacturing facility with approximately 600 thousand tons of capacity. This role will partner with Operations Maintenance Coordinator and Maintenance Supervisor to ensure daily and annual outage maintenance planning is completed in the area. The successful candidate will communicate daily with hourly and salaried maintenance personnel, direct contractors, and ensure compliance with safety and quality requirements. Additionally, they will maintain a planned work order backlog to ensure scope of work is greater than two weeks out and within regular work hours. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in manufacturing operations, maintenance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. They will also have demonstrated knowledge of reliability concepts and applications, ability to read schematics, and experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), preferably SAP. Leadership or supervisory experience is preferred, as well as strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler Sr will participate in Maintenance weekend duty rotation and be on call one night per week.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with Operations Maintenance Coordinator and Maintenance Supervisor to ensure efficient planning and coordination of maintenance work.
- Responsible for daily and annual outage maintenance planning in the area.
- Communicate daily with hourly and salaried maintenance personnel.
- Direct contractors and ensure compliance with safety and quality requirements.
- Maintain planned work order backlog to ensure scope of work is greater than two weeks out and within regular work hours.
- Create, maintain, and modify equipment BOMs and area PMs.
- Ensure Contracted PMs and Mill PMs are scheduled and recorded.
- Ensure all PMs are presented to the MOPs team for scheduling.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in manufacturing operations, maintenance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- High School diploma or GED, required.
- 3-5 years of maintenance planning experience preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of reliability concepts and applications.
- Ability to read schematics.
- Experience with utilization of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), preferably SAP.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office.
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Multi-tasking skills with the ability to meet deadlines on a continuous basis.
- Ability to estimate man-hours and costs for maintenance work.
Work Environment:
The Augusta mill is a well-invested SBS paperboard manufacturing facility with approximately 600 thousand tons of capacity. The facility boasts over 700 employees and has been in operation for almost 65 years. Located on 3,000 acres, the Augusta site operates two paper machines that produce 1,940 tons per day. The Augusta Mill is Clearwater Paper's largest paperboard facility and is critical to the success of our strategy and future.
