  • Collaborates as a strategic partner with internal teams and hiring managers to comprehend the requirements of the role and the culture of the department. Develops strategies to source and evaluate candidates.
  • Manages the complete recruitment cycle for candidates and hiring managers, including resume evaluation, initial screenings, behavioral interviews, assessments, notifications of decline, and offer extensions. This also involves advising candidates on benefits, compensation, opportunities, and the work environment.
  • Implements additional sourcing strategies once identified to enhance both the quantity and quality of candidate flow through community outreach, job fairs, social media, job boards, internet sourcing, staffing agencies, etc.
  • Monitors activities and facilitates the process from candidate selection to onboarding to ensure the best possible outcome that positively impacts retention.
  • Guides hiring managers during the selection process to ensure consistent practices and compliance with employment regulations. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws.
  • Oversees hiring manager practices to ensure timely review and interviewing of candidates. Coordinates in-person and phone interviews.
  • Informs potential applicants about the organization’s facilities, operations, benefits, and job or career opportunities. Updates candidates to appropriate status in the applicant tracking system. Ensures all communications, both internal and external, are handled courteously and professionally.

Additional Responsibilities

  • May assist with other HR functions as needed or appropriate.
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of company policies for talent benchmarking, assessment, and interviewing.
  • May enhance sourcing efforts through the creation of college recruitment programs, internships, management development initiatives, and employment branding strategies.
  • May participate in the implementation of an applicant tracking system or other recruitment software.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or necessary.

Supervisory Responsibilities

No supervisory responsibilities are included. The incumbent will serve as a resource and provide guidance and counsel to company managers as appropriate.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Education, Licensure or Certification:

  • Knowledge of general business administration and employment typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • A PHR certification is preferred.

Work Experience:

  • A minimum of three to five years of full-cycle professional-level corporate recruiting for positions at all levels within an organization, with a proven track record of hiring suitable candidates.
  • Additional HR experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with UltiPro is a plus.

Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • The ability to understand the importance of each position, hiring manager, and the company while setting aside personal biases to identify quality candidates.
  • Excellent judgment to evaluate candidates' capabilities to perform the role and fit within the culture.
  • A detail-oriented approach, strong organizational skills, and a self-motivated attitude with the ability to prioritize workload.
  • The capacity to project a professional image in appearance, communication, and actions is essential to represent the company appropriately.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills are required, along with the ability to accept constructive feedback.
  • Incumbents must be able to operate in a dynamic and fast-paced environment within a growing entrepreneurial company. This includes the skill to establish processes, make decisions, and function effectively in the absence of defined systems and precedents.

Travel Requirements

Position may involve occasional travel as required by business needs.

Work Environment

Work is generally performed in an office setting with minimal exposure to unpleasant or hazardous conditions.

Physical Requirements

This position primarily involves work conducted in an office environment, requiring the ability to operate basic office equipment.
