Mission and Goals:
The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Nephrology at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine is seeking a highly qualified individual to lead research programs within the division. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing research initiatives, securing funding, and overseeing various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching: Deliver lectures on topics such as value-based kidney care, population health management, and data analytics to medical students and healthcare professionals.

Research: Secure funding for research programs, including the Kidney HEALTH: Harnessing e-Records for advanced, long-term health for kidneys initiative, and oversee the Designing Equitable Care for Kidneys (DECK) study for community-based kidney health screening.

Service: Collaborate with institutional and administrative staff to achieve the objectives of Virginia Commonwealth University, including patient safety, public perception, and fiscal health.

Clinical: Provide EPIC training to support registry development for population health management and contribute to the division's growth in kidney health, focusing on CKD clinic refinement, hospitalization risk reduction, and chronic disease management.

Required Qualifications:

PhD with an interest and experience in kidney health research, experience with health outcomes and quality improvement research, data collection and analysis research experience, and a demonstrated ability to work in a diverse environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a diverse team, effective communication skills, and an interest in furthering the research, scholarly, and academic missions of the division.
