Job Overview

Position Summary

PeopleSuite Talent Solutions is in search of a seasoned Software Architect to become a vital part of our dedicated team within a global network of over 12,000 professionals. Our primary focus lies in safety, security, and access management. In this role, you will develop solutions that facilitate seamless access, ensuring safety and security for individuals in their work and personal environments.

Key Responsibilities

Analysis:

  • Engage with product managers, subject matter experts, development teams, and various stakeholders to grasp business requirements and their technical ramifications.
  • Remain updated on business initiatives and objectives, especially those related to infrastructure and architectural development.
  • Continuously monitor industry trends and assess their influence on the products and services your teams are responsible for.
  • Investigate new technologies and development tools to keep pace with emerging advancements.
  • Comprehend the compliance, security, and regulatory landscape to meet business needs.

Design:

  • Create and document system, technical, and application architectures for significant development areas.
  • Collaborate with engineers to implement architectural frameworks that yield complex product features.
  • Refine existing system architectures and conceptualize future enhancements.

Planning:

  • Assess current frameworks and devise a strategy to mitigate technical debt, ensuring the engineering team is future-ready.
  • Work alongside development teams on scoping, designing, and implementing features to deliver optimal solutions.
  • Supervise technical trade-offs between technical specifications and user-facing features.
  • Establish a technical roadmap that maximizes advanced technology utilization and seeks modernization.
  • Ensure prompt identification and resolution of challenges.

Execution:

  • Lead the implementation process based on the defined architecture.
  • Develop solutions and mentor others in doing the same.
  • Guarantee the quality and consistency of the software architecture across the system, providing technical guidance and collaborating closely with engineering teams.
  • Guide developers and other technical personnel to enhance their work quality.
  • Promote and implement automation in development and testing processes to boost efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Over 10 years of pertinent work experience.
  • A collaborative team player capable of adapting to shifting priorities and objectives.
  • Strong understanding of system design, message or event-driven architecture, and RESTful, GraphQL, or Pub/Sub APIs.
  • Experience with Java-based frameworks and technologies such as Spring Boot, Spring Data/JPA, and Spring Cloud.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and developing highly scalable, distributed, and secure solutions, whether on-premise or in cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, and CI/CD automation.
  • Experience in drafting architecture framework capabilities for development teams.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
  • Experience with client applications, progressive web applications, and mobile applications for iOS and Android.
  • Experience collaborating with remote teams.
