Job Title: Senior Vice President of Human Resources

The YMCA of Middle Tennessee is seeking a visionary leader to serve as Senior Vice President of Human Resources. This role is responsible for driving the overall HR strategy, aligning HR initiatives with the organization's mission, and fostering a culture of engagement, inclusivity, and excellence across the association.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies that align with the YMCA's mission and strategic goals.
  • Oversee the recruitment, development, and retention of a diverse and high-performing workforce.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive organizational culture that emphasizes YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.
  • Design and implement competitive and equitable compensation and benefits programs that attract, retain, and motivate employees.
  • Lead and optimize HR operations, including HRIS, payroll, employee relations, and performance management systems.
  • Mentor and develop the HR team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and professional growth.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree (preferred). Human Resources certifications such as SHRM-SCP or HRCI-SPHR (preferred).
  • Combined 10 years of progressive HR experience that includes a role in senior management.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, and risk management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and data analytics.
  • Ability to lead through change and drive organizational transformation.
