Director of Security Operations

Global Relay is seeking an experienced Director, Information Security to lead our cybersecurity efforts. The successful candidate will have a strong background in information security, experience managing technical teams, and excellent communication skills.
The Director, Information Security will be responsible for developing and executing strategic security programs, fostering a culture of security across the organization, and ensuring alignment with industry standards.
This is a senior leadership position that requires expertise in security practices, governance, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic security programs
- Foster a culture of security across the organization
- Manage a growing team of security professionals
- Ensure alignment with industry standards and regulations
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in technology and 5+ years of experience in operational security
- 5+ years of managing technical teams
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)
- Certification in one or more areas of security expertise, such as CISSP, CISA, or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
