Job Title: Line Operator

We are seeking a skilled Line Operator to join our team at Paragon Films, a premier manufacturer of premium quality stretch film products. As a Line Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the production line operates efficiently and effectively, meeting production standards in terms of quality and quantity.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor schedules and prepare for line changeovers, performing screen changes as required and ensuring product quality standards are met.
  • Pull rolls, label, and package product to meet established quality standards, updating senior Line Operators on any scrap generated.
  • Monitor line computers and recognize any wrong or dangerous conditions, reporting them to senior Line Operators or Team Managers.
  • Pull QA tests and monitor results to ensure quality product is being produced, communicating any quality issues to senior Line Operators in a timely manner.
  • Perform troubleshooting to maintain production efforts, fine-tuning equipment to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Complete shift and line reports in a timely manner and assist in training of other production personnel.
  • Monitor line and work area for cleanliness and perform periodic housekeeping tasks as needed.
Requirements:
  • Completion and demonstrated proficiency in the duties of an Extrusion Assistant.
  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgment while adapting to a fast-paced environment and rapid changes.
  • Strong organizational skills combined with good problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 65 lbs. on a continual basis for 12-hour shifts.
  • Ability to climb onto machinery elevated off the ground and utilize ladders, stairs, step stools, and other equipment necessary while following all applicable safety rules and guidelines.
