Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Extrusion Operator to join our team at Paragon Films. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our extrusion lines, maintaining high-quality standards, and adhering to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain production schedules, performing line changeovers and screen changes as required.
  • Ensure product quality standards are met, pulling rolls, labeling, and packaging product according to established procedures.
  • Update senior line operators on scrap generated, causes, and corrective actions.
  • Recognize and report any wrong or dangerous conditions to senior line operators or team managers.
  • Perform troubleshooting and maintenance tasks to maintain production efforts.
  • Complete shift and line reports in a timely manner and assist in training of other production personnel.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in a plastics manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Strong organizational skills, good problem-solving skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 65 lbs. on a continual basis for 12-hour shifts.
  • Ability to climb onto machinery elevated off the ground and use ladders, stairs, step stools, and other equipment as needed.
