We are currently seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Corporate Communications Officer to support our team. This role is essential in assisting the Government lead to establish a comprehensive oversight and compliance framework that allows for authorized missions in alignment with federal laws and policies, ensuring the protection of privacy rights and civil liberties.

This position is part of the ODE PMO, which is responsible for setting and maintaining project management standards by directing activities, monitoring project progress, and implementing best practices. You will leverage your expertise to develop new policies, procedures, and strategic implementation plans, as well as create and deliver customized training related to the ODE mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, revise, and manage all communication-related initiatives, including newsletters, informational materials, website content, and other resources for both internal and external audiences.
  • Generate, compose, and disseminate content to enhance ODE's brand and promote its initiatives.
  • Serve as a liaison with the Office of Communications to ensure timely and appropriate dissemination of materials for the workforce.
  • Collaborate with ODE's government personnel to produce all diversity-related communication materials for the agency and oversight bodies.
  • Identify, develop, and implement ODE's communication strategy.
  • Oversee quality control and process improvement efforts, including formulating plans and strategies related to ODE's communications.
  • Draft and maintain supporting documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and guidelines for communication materials and strategies.
  • Assist with annual, quarterly, and ad hoc reporting requirements by preparing and presenting briefings and reports for diverse audiences.
  • Engage in meetings with ODE and partners regarding diversity and inclusion topics.
  • Participate in interagency and federal working groups as required.
  • Ensure prompt acknowledgment of all customer inquiries within a specified timeframe.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 11+ years of relevant experience in communications or workforce diversity.
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Communications or a related field, or 4 additional years of relevant experience.
  • Proven ability to develop strategic plans and guidelines for communication products and services.
  • At least 2 years of experience with communication products and services.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Experience in creating and executing communication plans and products.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Subject Matter Expert in communications and public affairs.
  • Experience working independently with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines.
  • Competency in performing significant staff officer duties autonomously.
  • Experience engaging with senior-level directors and agency leadership.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Polygraph.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods.
  • Occasional mobility within the office to attend meetings and interact with clients.
  • Effective communication with colleagues, management, and clients, including delivering presentations.
  • Proficiency in operating a computer keyboard and other office equipment.
