Retail Assistant Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Assistant Manager to join our team at KARM Stores. As a key member of our retail management team, you will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of our store, including managing cash and credit transactions, maintaining customer service standards, and training new employees.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in Register Transactions: Ensure the accuracy and security of all transactions, including handling cash and credit card payments and non-cash purchases.
- Maintain Customer Service Standards: Work with the retail management team to establish and maintain customer service standards, ensuring compliance with the company mission statement and providing a pleasant shopping experience for each customer.
- Stock and Merchandise: Assist store staff in stocking store shelves and clothing racks to provide customers with maximum shopping opportunities.
- Identify Areas for Improvement: Help identify areas on the retail floor that need attention related to pulls, merchandising, recovery, and other tasks.
- Train New Employees: Work with the retail manager to train new employees, ensuring they have the necessary training to be successful in their position.
- Complete Daily Reconciliation: Accurately complete daily reconciliation sales reports, bank deposits, daily sales charts, category sales charts, and donations charts, and properly store all paperwork.
- Lead and Equip Team: Help lead and equip the team by living out the company's mission and core values of being trustworthy, team-minded, and teachable.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with a strong command of the English language.
- Commitment to KARM Stores Mission: Demonstrate a commitment to the company's mission and mission statement.
- Computer Skills: Have general typing skills and web browsing capabilities.
- Interpret and Follow Instructions: Ability to interpret and follow a variety of instructions and goals provided in written or oral form.
- Physical Demands: Stand up to 100% of a standard work day, with moderate to heavy physical activity, including lifting and bending up to 75% of a standard work day.
This is an hourly wage position, with pay rates beginning at $15 to $18.50 an hour based on experience.
