Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Superintendent to lead our Healthcare projects in the greater Atlanta metropolitan area and beyond. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of construction projects, while maintaining the highest level of quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate construction activities to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
  • Verify subcontractor certificates of insurance and ensure compliance with company policies
  • Prepare and maintain CPM job schedules, ensuring accurate tracking of project progress
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, and other stakeholders
  • Recruit, train, and direct field construction teams, including subcontractors and direct-hire employees
  • Assure work quality and set standards for quality control
  • Order materials and tools, avoiding crisis buying and ensuring efficient project execution
  • Prepare necessary reports, including time sheets, work orders, daily reports, and invoice approvals
  • Document and complete punchlists in a timely manner
  • Review drawings, specifications, and subcontractor submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements
  • Chair or attend pre-job conferences, regular subcontractor meetings, and other project-related meetings
  • Perform start-up testing and turnover to owners, ensuring smooth project handover
  • Document final close-out and owner acceptance, ensuring project completion and satisfaction
  • Travel as required by management to support project needs and company objectives

Requirements:

  • 8-10 years of experience on Healthcare projects, with a strong track record of successful project completion
  • Experience working on projects in the $50M+ range or four to five projects in the $15M range
  • 8+ years in a leadership role on projects, with a proven ability to lead and manage teams
  • Responsible for staff development and training, with a focus on building a strong and skilled team
  • Engineering, Construction Management, or Architectural degree, or equivalent experience
  • Extensive field construction experience at supervisory level, with a minimum of 8 years as a Superintendent
  • Current Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) Certification, or achievement of STS Certification within six months of hire, with maintenance of active certification status
  • Working knowledge of all crafts, with the ability to read and understand specifications for all trades
  • Knowledge of OSHA laws and regulations
  • Knowledge of job scheduling, planning, expediting, and cost control, with experience using P6 or similar software
  • Ability to problem-solve and think critically, with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
