Job Title: Airport Armed Security Officer

Easterwood Airport Management is seeking a highly motivated and security-conscious individual to fill the role of Airport Armed Security Officer. This dynamic position offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the security and safety of our passengers and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patrol airport buildings and grounds to ensure security and detect suspicious activity.
  • Report irregularities, emergencies, or suspicious activity to the proper authorities and security supervisor.
  • Provide information and assistance to tenants, the public, and employees, or direct inquiries to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a high-profile presence to deter criminal activity.
  • Prepare regular activity reports, comprehensive reports, and daily logs.
  • Monitor CCTV and other security equipment for signs of suspicious activity or Airport Security Program violations.
  • Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and professionalism.
  • Utilize critical thinking and sound judgment in all situations.
  • Possess basic computer and smartphone skills for reporting and communication.
Requirements:
  • Must pass a background check meeting the standards of both TSA and the Texas Department of Public Safety (no disqualifying offenses).
  • Education: High school diploma or GED and at least 18 years old. Associate's degree preferred.
  • Prior experience: Prior security employment or military service.
  • Must possess a valid Texas driver's license and be able to maintain insurability under the Airport's Vehicle Insurance policy.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test.
