Job Summary

The Overnight Closer (Member Services Representative) will be responsible for creating a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members and guests. You will also be responsible for closing that day's shift for that business day as well as creating an accurate bank deposit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and Assist Members: Greet members, prospective members and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Front Desk Operations: Handle all front desk related activities including:
    • Phone Support: Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions.
    • Member Check-in: Check members into the system.
    • New Member Sign-up: New member sign-up.
    • Tours: Take prospective members on tours.
  • Account Management: Facilitate needed updates to member's accounts.
  • Member Support: Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner and elevate to Manager as needed.
  • Club Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the neatness and cleanliness of the club.
  • Shift Closing: Close shift for that business day by balancing out the cash drawer, generating daily reports, and double checking each day's entries.
  • Bank Deposit: Create a bank deposit for next day.
Requirements
  • Customer Service Background: Customer service background preferred.
  • Basic Computer Skills: Basic computer proficiency.
  • Passion for Fitness: A passion for fitness and health.
  • Positive Attitude: Upbeat and positive attitude.
  • Punctuality and Reliability: Punctuality and reliability is a must.
  • Exceptional Customer Service Skills: Exceptional customer service skills; able to interact in a positive and professional way with members and co-workers, exceeding the member's expectations.
  • Strong Listening Skills: Strong listener with the ability to empathize and problem solve.
  • Diplomacy: Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.
  • Education: High School diploma/GED equivalent required.
  • Age: Must be 18 years of age or older.
Physical Demands
  • Standing and Walking: Continual standing and walking during shift.
  • Talking: Continual talking in person or on the phone during shift.
  • Work Schedule: Ability to work 3rd shift (overnights) hours are 10pm to 6am.
  • Lifting: Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
