Project Summary

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Administration for Community Living (ACL) is committed to improving the independence and health of older adults and individuals with disabilities. The Enterprise IT Services (EITS) initiative is designed to provide operational and developmental support for ACL's cloud-based infrastructure and cybersecurity services, utilizing a hybrid multi-cloud architecture, primarily based on Microsoft Azure government cloud services.

Role of the DevOps Engineer

The DevOps Engineer will take charge of designing, implementing, and maintaining the continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for ACL's cloud infrastructure. This role emphasizes the automation and optimization of operations while collaborating with software developers and IT personnel to manage code releases. The DevOps Engineer will closely work with development, security, and operations teams to ensure efficient and secure software deployment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for cloud infrastructure.
  • Automate and streamline operational processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to oversee code releases.
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations and industry best practices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a DevOps role within an enterprise cloud environment.
  • Proficient in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
  • Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools, including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Understanding of security best practices and compliance standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Google Professional DevOps Engineer are preferred.
Compensation and Benefits

BCT Partners offers a competitive compensation package, including a starting annual salary range of $120,000 - $130,000 based on qualifications, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
