Project Summary

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Administration for Community Living (ACL) is committed to improving the independence, health, and well-being of older adults and individuals with disabilities. The Enterprise IT Services (EITS) initiative is focused on delivering operational and developmental support for ACL's enterprise-level cloud infrastructure and cybersecurity services, utilizing a hybrid multi-cloud architecture primarily based on Microsoft Azure government cloud services.

Role of the Cloud Solutions Engineer

The Cloud Solutions Engineer will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the ACL's cloud environment as part of the EITS initiative. Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing cloud infrastructure and ensuring its security.
  • Facilitating the migration of applications and websites to the cloud.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to design, implement, and maintain cloud solutions that align with organizational needs and federal regulations.
  • Monitoring system performance and conducting security assessments.
  • Troubleshooting issues as they arise.

This position requires a profound understanding of cloud technologies, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative spirit to thrive in a dynamic environment. The Cloud Solutions Engineer will significantly contribute to enhancing the reliability, security, and scalability of the cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in cloud engineering or a comparable role.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience in cloud migration, infrastructure management, and automation.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of security best practices and compliance standards.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Preferred professional certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Compensation and Benefits

BCT Partners offers a competitive compensation package, including a starting annual salary range of $125,000 - $135,000, based on qualifications. Our benefits package includes:
