OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our team in the Geriatrics department at DeMay Living Center. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in improving the lives of patients by providing continual and restorative medical care.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes and experience.
Salary and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this position is between $100,000.00 and $150,000.00 per year, based on factors including experience, relevant qualifications, and location.

Job DescriptionAs a Physician Assistant in the Geriatrics department, you will be responsible for:
- Patient care: addressing acute illness and injury, making diagnoses, performing medical histories and physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies, prescribing medications, writing orders, making entries in medical records, and monitoring effects of treatments
- Administrative assistance: completing insurance and medical discharge documentation, providing guidance to ancillary personnel, counseling family members, preparing daily billing sheets, and completing chart entries on patient interactions
- Safety: utilizing infection control equipment and safety guidelines to minimize or prevent exposure to communicable diseases, potentially infectious body fluids, and risk regarding prescribed patient treatment
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A BS in Physician Assistant Studies (required)
- Current licensure as a Registered Physician Assistant (RPA) in New York State
- Certification as a Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) through the National Committee on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
